According to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) for Wednesday, in the last 24 hours there have been 17 new deaths in the country due to Covid-19. With these new deaths there are a total of 5,672 accumulated deaths in the country, for a fatality of 1.7%. According to the Minsa, today 504 new positive cases were detected, While 4,113 tests were applied, for a percentage of positivity of 12.2%. In addition, active cases total 12,035. 1,394 people are hospitalized, 1,184 of them are in a ward and 210 are in an intensive care unit.
The Minister of Health, Eyra Ruiz, declared this Wednesday, that a total of 12,441 health professionals will receive the second dose of Pfizer’s vaccine against Covid-19. Ruiz made the statement during a tour of the vaccination centers where these health professionals will receive the second dose from this Wednesday.
