Andres Clemente

WTW, yep, it is Welcome to Wednesday. It is Movie review day today and we are joined virtually this morning by Andres, this is due to him having  wisdom tooth out yesterday. But he did to go see in the week the new Marvel movie “Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness” His description sounded a bit like trying to understand Bitcoin! However this is what he had to say. “50/50 going into watching the Doctor Strange sequel, but I was happily surprised with the results. I believe the success of this huge films is because the central conflict is rooted in a very human emotion, in this case, a Mom mourning the loss of her family. Doctor Strange also manages to become the scariest and most grown-up film in the MCU cannon, to the point that there is a debate online regarding the PG-13 rating. Its a must watch for MCU fans, but I believe non avid watchers will be a bit lost.”

Winnie T Sitton

In the last hour today we have the chance to chat with Winnie T Sitton. Winnie is behind a new production honoring the Panamanian Raul Leis with a premier of the work “El Puente”.

El Puente tells the story of Rosalba, a woman from Chorrillo who, bordered by her problems arrives one morning at the Bridge of the Americas, ready to commit suicide at dawn Without knowing, that there she will meet Joaquín, a young unemployed that suddenly appears with the same purpose: Jumping over the Panama Canal and take life The two strangers will go through the last hour they have left together to fulfill its objective, talking about the reality of the country and the reasons that encourage them to kill themselves. But when the sun rises… will they be able to do it?

El Puente is showing at the Teatro Nacional on the 19-22nd May. Tickets are available now at Panatickets.
