130 days have elapsed since the first case of the new coronavirus was reported in the country, on March 9, the amount has now reached 50,373 cumulative cases and 1,000 deaths, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported yesterday. Israel Cedeño, director of the Metropolitan Health Region, reported that in the last 24 hours, 1,130 new cases were registered and 18 patients died.
The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo , announced on the national network that he decreed this Friday, July 17, as a day of national reflection for the thousand deaths caused by the coronavirus in Panama.
