Yesterday, a criminal complaint against President Juan Carlos Varela arrived at the National Assembly.
The criminal complaint, filed by Sofanor Espinosa, is for the alleged commission of crimes against the public administration, more precisely, for omission in the exercise of his functions to the detriment of Panamanian society.
Yesterday, during a meeting in the Presidency of the Republic, president Juan Carlos Varela reported that he contacted Attorney General Kenia Porcell to show “full support” in investigations into bribes paid by Brazilian company Odebrecht to Panamanian officials.
