Yes, just us this morning. Found some great music, a half hour of oldies as well. We take a rummage around the Internet, some good advice on not spreading false information as we are flooded with email, instant messaging etc. And how to maintain the car while not being used, from our friends at Vale Motors.


The Vice Minister of Health, Luis Sucre, asked the population to make proper use of the departure time they have during the total quarantine to carry out only necessary procedures.  He warned that if the irresponsible use of the departure time during the quarantine continues, the authorities will need to introduce more drastic measures that will decrease the allowed time.

Lourdes Moreno, head of Epidemiology at the Minsa, reported that at the time of the conference, there are 674 cases of coronavirus cases in Panama. Of this number 116 are new.  There are 580 patients in home isolation and 83 hospitalized.

With various modifications, the deputies of the National Assembly passed bill 295 in the third debate, which establishes the suspension of the payment of public services for four months and without interest, in attention to the state of emergency declared by the coronavirus .

In its third debate, the plenary session of the National Assembly approved bill 296, “which adopts a General Law on emergency measures to face the health crisis caused by the Covid pandemic19”.

The European airline KLM was authorized by the government of Panama to carry out two extraordinary flights, after the closure of the national airspace was decreed to stop the expansion of the respiratory pandemic caused by the Coronavirus (Covid-19).

The National Authority of Public Services (ASEP) reported that by decision of the Government, electricity will be guaranteed to consumers who use the supply through prepaid meters.

Almost a million dollars will be allocated by the National Police for vehicle rentals, despite the fact that most public entities have their fleet paralyzed by the restrictions imposed by the Government due to the pandemic of the new  coronavirus.

The Government of Panama went out to the capital market this Thursday, March 26 and issued debt for $ 2.5 billion, being the first country in the region to make a debt issue during the coronavirus crisis.
