The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) highlighted that in the last hours 15 new deaths have been registered due to Covid-19.  While 7,939 new tests have been carried out to detect people affected with the new coronavirus. For this Thursday in Panama there are 108,342 patients recovered from the disease. In addition, 798 new positive cases were detected, for a cumulative total of 132,045. The new tests to detect people infected with the virus represent a percentage of positivity of 10.1%.  While with the new registered deaths, 2,678 accumulated deaths and a fatality of 2.0% are total.

The deputies that make up the National Assembly concluded the ordinary sessions of the first period 2020-2021 on the afternoon of yesterday Thursday.

Given the projection of a greater movement of passengers at the Tocumen Airport , starting this weekend, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that it will reinforce the designated personnel as part of the measures to stop the advance of the Covid-19 .

The contract for the design engineering project, construction of civil works, auxiliary line and station facilities, supply and installation of the railway system that includes rolling stock (monorail) and commissioning of the system for Line 3 , was signed Thursday

Víctor Sánchez Urrutia, national secretary in charge of Science, Technology and Innovation (Senacyt), reported, that Panama is seeking more companies from countries such as China and France to carry out their trials of the Covid-19 vaccine in the country.

The Supreme Court of Justice reversed a decision of the General Directorate of Public Procurement, which denied a claim promoted by Disur & Motion Health Care, one of the two consortiums that submitted offers to the Social Security Fund (CSS) , to provide the service storage and distribution of medicines, with a reference price of $ 200 million.

From the early hours of this Thursday, October 29, volunteers from the All Panama Movement proceeded with the delivery of 100,000 masks and face shields in different transport terminals in the country as part of the campaign to stop the spread of the coronavirus .

Within the framework of World Food Day, the Acción Tigo volunteers made the delivery of donations that corresponds to 50,000 plates of food project, to the Senderos Children’s Dining Room in Kuna Nega with a population of 350 children and to the Nuestra Señora de Fátima Dining Room in El Chorrillo, who provide food to 60 beneficiaries, including children and older adults.
