According to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) this Sunday, October 18, in the last 24 hours there have been 7 new deaths due to the Covid-19 disease. In the country there are 101,041 recovered patients, active cases of Covid-19 total 21,140. While today 638 new positive cases were also detected, for a cumulative total of 124,745. According to the Minsa, 4,774 new tests were applied, for a percentage of positivity of 13.4%. With the 7 new deaths in the country, there are 2,564 accumulated deaths and a fatality of 2.1%.
The number of new cases of coronavirus fell in the last epidemiological week. According to reports from the Ministry of Health (Minsa) the week of October 11 to 17 closed with 4,441 cases, that is, 572 cases less than the previous week.
For next November 2, when Panamanians will visit cemeteries and churches, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) recommends that the family bubble be maintained due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19.
