They do so much good work and there are literally hundreds of Panamanian Children who are treated by them completely free, I am of course referring to the Shriner’s International here in Panama. My guest in the 8 o’clock hour is Roberto Rodriguez Vice President of Abou Saad Shriners in Panama. They have recently been in the local news again with a medi-vac of local child who suffered severe burns. This aircraft had to be specially chartered to fly to the United States. The appealed for donation and were wonderfully surprised by the generosity.
The Shriner’s accept children with pediatric needs and as mentioned above those needing help with burns. The children that can be accepted have to be under the age of 18, doctors from the hospitals travel to Panama two or three times per year to carry out clinics.
