The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) for this Sunday, reports 728 new cases of the new coronavirus and 12 deaths in the last 24 hours. These numbers increase the cumulative cases of Covid-19 to 92,065 and deaths rise to 1,995.
Epidemiology reports from the Ministry of Health (Minsa) establish that from August 23 to 29 a total of 5,857 new infections of the Covid-19 disease were reported, which represents 345 fewer cases than those reported in the previous week. (from August 19 to 22), when 6,242 were registered.
Under the premise that the law is the same for everyone, the Minister of Health, Eyra Ruiz , affirmed that both the officials who are proven to have been at a supposed party at the La Fragata restaurant and the people who protested outside of the premises will also be sanctioned.
For the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (Cciap) there is no need for such a spaced out schedule and much less more restrictions in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
A total of 2,800 packages of what is possibly cocaine were seized by agents who make up the Panamanian public force.
The risk rating agency Moody’s Investors Service updated Panama’s credit opinion and took its estimate of the performance of the Panamanian economy this year to a 10% drop, because of the crisis caused by the new coronavirus.
