After the so-called ‘Panama Papers’ scandal, the Panamanian government hired, for $370,000, the US firm Bellwether Strategies, to clean up the country’s image.

The Mayor’s Office of Panama has awarded the work for the revitalization of Calle Uruguay, in the neighborhood of Bella Vista, to Meco construction company for $26.4 million.

The Budget Committee of the National Assembly approved a transfer of $20.6 million to the Institute of Aqueducts and Sewage Systems (Idaan) to reinforce the study of sewerage systems in the country.
