Dr Computer Alex Neuman is with us this morning for our weekly look at what is happening in the world of Tech: Apple called off their plans to increase iPhone 14 production citing less-than-stellar demand; no word yet on international version with SIM tray
– India cracked down on VPN services this week; they will mandate that at least 5 years’ worth of records should be kept on customers using India servers. VPN providers have either completely pulled their servers out of India or have purchased Indian IP addresses but hosted the servers in nearby Singapore.
– Disaster preparedness: What’s happened in Florida today, and in Puerto Rico earlier this month, should give us pause. What steps can we take to prepare, with respect to technology, our digital identity, and that of our families?
