Our guest in the last hour of today’s program is Annalisa Crannell who received the first Fulbright U.S. Scholar award for a mathematician in Panama. During her 9-month visit to this country, hosted by FUNDAPROMAT, she will research and write a book on optical illusions that use perspective and geometry.  She retired as a Professor of Mathematics at Franklin & Marshall College, where she received teaching awards at the college, state, and national level. Together with mathematician/artists Marc Frantz and Fumiko Futamura, she is the author of Perspective and Projective Geometry and Viewpoints: Mathematical Perspective and Fractal Geometry in Art. (please note that the workshop will be in Spanish)
