According to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) of this Monday, June 21, in the last 24 hours there have been 2 new deaths, bringing a total of 6,477 accumulated deaths and a fatality of 1.6%. In Panama, there are 377,243 recovered patients. While this Monday, 514 new positive cases were detected, for a cumulative total of 394,241. According to the entity, 5,965 tests were applied and a percentage of positivity is maintained this Monday of 8.6%. In addition, active cases to date total 10,521.  On the other hand, 9,931 people are reported in home isolation, of which 9,541 are in their residence and 390 in the so-called hospital hotels. While the hospitalized total 590, of them 501 are in a ward and 89 in intensive care units.

The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo , announced this Monday, that he will launch a “new” phase of the Panama Solidario plan, which will run until December 31 next. He said that to continue receiving the benefit of the $ 120 digital voucher through the ID – as a measure to face the economic crisis generated by the Covid-19 pandemic – they must register to perform social service 24 hours a month within their community or take a training course at Inadeh. To do this, they will have to register on the website www.panamasolidario.gob.pa Digital Vale section, until July 31.

The investigations related to the clandestine vaccination days enter a new phase this week. People who were inoculated should go to the Gorgas Memorial Institute for Health Studies, where they will be tested to determine if they were vaccinated against Covid-19 or with another substance. As of last week, these exams were scheduled to start today, Tuesday.
