Our special guest in the second hour today is Chris Lenz Founder and CEO of the La Compania Hotel in Casco Viejo (old town). Initially Chris planned to retire in Phuket, Thailand, but ended up in Panama where his children could learn Spanish. After a while he decided to invest in a property in Panama City’s historic center, leading to the Hotel La Compañía project. The hotel is part of the Hyatt Unbound Collection. The project received funding from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), marking their first private program funded in Panama.
