Welcome to our Tuesday morning program. Today we have a special guest in the eight o’clock hour. “Contact” is a Guatemalan multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, DJ, and educator. As Contact, his music blurs the line between genres and unapologetically combines complex rhythms, soaring melodies, and clever sound design, resulting in a fresh style difficult to label. Diego’s music reflects his international and multicultural upbringing with influences from artists such as Skrillex, Flume, Hiatus Kaiyote, Snarky Puppy, Anomalie, and Monte Booker. With ten years worth of experience in the studio and on stage, his debut album PARADIGM is his musical thesis. The 17-track original LP, independently composed, produced, and mixed/mastered, features some of the best Panamanian musicians and combines elements of jazz, hip-hop, R&B, and urban styles over an electronic production foundation. Currently, his second full-length album is underway.
