No movie review as such this week but we do check in on Andres and Family to see how they have been getting on during the lock down. And what has Andres been watching?


President Laurentino Cortizo reported on Tuesday that more tests will be acquired to detect the coronavirus, in order to massify them, and indicated that the sanitary measures adopted will not be “relaxed”.

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported this Tuesday, April 14, that in the last 24 hours there was a death from coronavirus to total 95, and a cumulative of 3,574 infected, since the first case was reported on March 9.

Since the suspension order issued by the Ministry of Health (Minsa), on April 6, some 650 workers have left the Cobre Panama project, located in the mountains of Donoso, province of Colón. This number was reached Tuesday, when the eviction of 350 mining employees took place.

A change in the government’s strategy to control mobility and the increase of coronavirus infections (Covid-19) is disrupting the fluidity of the country’s agri-food chain.

President Laurentino Cortizo granted sentence reductions to 29 inmates of La Joya, La Joyita, La Nueva Joya, Las Tablas, Penonomé and the Tinajitas prison for humanitarian reasons in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The owners of restaurants, bars and clubs established this Tuesday, April 14, together with officials from the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI), a commission to evaluate measures that would mitigate the economic effects produced by the coronavirus crisis.
