We catch up with Andres Clemente this morning on the phone, our movie guru. Needless to say nothing at the movies but we chat about what we have been watching on Netflix over the last week. A series that I have been watching is called “White Lines” which has just been release on Netflix, I am enjoying it very much and a listener Celia let us know that it is the first series she has watch from beginning to end all in one session! We also talk about how the current environment with regards to our watching habit under the Covid-19 lock-down is going to affect movie industry as we come out of the restrictions.

One of the tracks played today from “Tapestry” by Carole King, my album of the week is “Beautiful” According to King, she did not consciously attempt to write “Beautiful” but it came to her spontaneously. It stemmed from her realization while riding the New York City Subway that the way she perceived others reflected how she herself felt. She has also stated that because it came to her spontaneously, she initially didn’t realize some of the professional details of the song, such as the lack of rhyme in the refrain, which if she was writing the song consciously she would have included.
