The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) , this Tuesday, July 21, reveals that the accumulated cases of Covid-19 in the country increased to 55,153, and deaths to 1,159.  These figures are recorded after 727 new cases and 32 new deaths were known in the last hours.

The fall in income recorded by the Central Government in the first half of the year as a result of the new coronavirus pandemic will continue until the end of the year.

The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has identified more suspicious transactions in the criminal complaint it filed against Ricardo Alberto and Luis Enrique Martinelli Linares , who face charges of alleged conspiracy to launder Odebrecht money , in a court in New York .

Former President Ricardo Martinelli went on the morning of this Tuesday, July 21, to the headquarters of the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences (Imelcf) for a psychiatric evaluation by doctors of that medical center, in compliance with an order from the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office .

The Health Minister, Luis Francisco Sucre, affirmed that he feels the responsibility for the country to get ahead as soon as possible in the face of the coronavirus pandemic and to prepare the Health system so that it can receive all patients in an adequate way.

The plenary session of the National Assembly on Tuesday approved bill 267 in the third debate, by means of which it encourages public servants to donate blood with a day off.

The president of the Panamanian Association of Company Executives (Apede) , Mercedes Eleta , asked President Laurentino Cortizo to exercise a more “clear and forceful” leadership so that there is a dialogue against the crisis.
