Panama has not registered any deaths due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the second day of March in which the Health authorities confirm no deaths from the virus. In the epidemiological report, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) specifies that the number of deaths, since the pandemic arrived in the country in March 2020, is 8,159 and the lethality is 1.1%. 365 new cases of coronavirus are reported after the application of 7,540 tests for a positivity of 4.9%. In addition, it is detailed that there are 2,412 active cases, of which 2,269 are in home isolation: 2,235 in houses and 34 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 143, of that number 128 are in the wards and 15 in intensive care.

The Mayor’s Office of Panama annulled the resolution by which it awarded the Bio-ecological Services and Rentals Consortium the tender for the construction of a peripheral market in Chilibre, the reference price is $12.8 million.
