Born on this day in music, one of Yazmin’s picks 1946 – Robert John, American singer-songwriter best known for his 1979 US No.1 hit single, ‘Sad Eyes’. He also had a No. 3 hit with a cover version of The Tokens’ 1961 hit, ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’, in 1972.
